Q2. A student is attempting to log on internet with 0.5 chance of successful attempt in each trail. The average no of attempts required to log on successfully is:

a. 1 b. 2 c. 3 d. 4

Apparently, you didn't pay attention to Plato's post, and I'm not sure you do understand. Where is your effort? The next post in this thread had better be by nasir31971, and it had better show some work, or I will close this thread. I might even issue an infraction.

You should also know that MHF is an international forum. Urgency of the kind you're talking about simply isn't part of MHF. Most "urgent help" is for homework that counts towards a final grade. It is forum policy not knowingly to help with such problems.
