AP Stats Presentation - Typical Student Spend > 60min Studying/day?
Hello everyone, thanks for taking a moment to look at my thread.
As part of my final, I am doing a presentation (also writing a paper) to answer the question, "Does the typical student spend at least 60 minutes each day doing work for school?".
Thus far, I have recieved data for the 800~ students that attend the school, and used a random number generator in order to randomly select 40 of the students. I also have a brief outline of what I believe will be an effective presentation and paper.
-Overview of method used to solve question
-How the sample was taken from the population (RNG)
-How many samples were taken from the population
-Summary Statistics (probably going to include a table as well as a graph)
-Reference to the appendix
Test of Significance
-All of the calculations
-What is suggested by the sample?
-Analyze the ToS
-Analyze the CI
-Final conclusions (if the two disagree, explain)
-How does the amount of time studying break down per grade?
-By level of academic achievement of a school?
If anyone sees any gaping holes which I missed, please do inform me.
I also don't know how I would go about solving this. What kind of a test would I use? I can post my data here tonight if that would help.
Thanks for reading. :)
