Give lower 95% confidence level of proportion p

    Hi there,

I would first like to say Hi to everyone, and really appreciate those in charge of this website for coming up with a website for those who want to learn more about mathematics.

I am currently learning about surveys, and excel and probability.

I need help on the following question:

Give lower 95% confidence level of proportion p

The only information I have currently is the proportion and a sample of let's say 121 students.

So how exactly do I answer this question?

I'm still learning about this topic in hand, I find it hard, but will do my best to get better at it.

I do apologise if this isn't posted in the right thread, and would appreciate if someone could kindly place it in the right thread just in case.

    Many thanks,

    Solidsnoop29

Start with a formula? Check your text for confidence intervals, if this is a Intro Stats class for non math majors, then you should have four formulas for confidence intervals: mean, proportion, difference between means and difference between proportions. The one you want is for proportions. Start there.
