A protective police recruit takes four examinations before entering the police service. these are a physical ,mathematics, english and a rifle shooting exam he scores 85% 65% 79% and 100% respectively calculate the mean mark if
i) each exam is equally weighted
!!) these examination are weighted 8, 2, 4, 6, respectively

i) got this for the first answer 82.5 marks $\frac { (\sum wx)} {(\sum w)}$

could u verify this for me please
and how do u put the maths tags tingy

also got 86.4 marks for the second answer

i got 82.25% and 86.3%

i)
$\frac{0.85 +0.65 + 0.79 +1}{4} = \frac{3.29}{4} = 0.8225 = 82.25\%$

ii)
$\frac{(8*0.85) +(2*0.65) + (4*0.79) +(6*1)}{8+2+4+6} = \frac{1726}{20}= 0.863 = 86.3\%$
