Q#1. The owner of a retailing organization is interested in the relationship between price at which a commodity is offer for sale and the quantity sold. The following sample data have been collected.

b)Using the method of least squares, determine the equation for the estimated regression line .Plot this line on the scatter diagram.
c)Also discuss the regression line.
d)Calculate the standard deviation of regression Sy.x.

Q#2:
Two dice are caste: A1 is the event that a 6 appears on at least one die, A2 is the event that a 5 appears on exactly one die and A3 is the event that same number appears on both dice.
• Are A1 and A2 independent?
• Are A2 and A3 independent?

To show that two events are independent you need to show that:
