    Finding the Cutoff Score (Z scores i believe?)

    In order to qualify for the FBI training academy, recruits are given a test of tolerance. The scored are normally distributed with a mean of 200 and a standard deviation of 15. If only 16% of recruits are selected, what is the cut off score?

    1-.16=.84

    \displaystyle \frac{1}{\sqrt{2\pi}}\int_{-\infty}^{1}e^{\frac{-x^2}{2}}dx=.841344\approx .84

    \mu =200, \ \sigma=15

    1\equiv\mu+\sigma=200+15=215
