I'm currently analysing some statistical results using curve fitting software. Since both variables can have any value to 3 decimal places, I'm currently rounding x to the nearest 1 decimal place using round(x * 10)/10, which works fine. However, in order to increase the number of results, and therefore achieve a better curve fit, I'd also like to round to the nearest 0.05, including only values ending in 0.05. For example, 0.04 would be rounded to 0.05, 0.1 would be rounded to 0.15 etc.

Is there a simple function that will achieve this, or is it necessary to write a computer program?
