    Non exclusive/exclusive events

The owners of a music store placed ads in the newspaper and on TV advertising their annual 40% sale. They did a survey of the first 300 customers, and discovered that 180 saw the ad on TV, 160 saw the ad in the newspaper, and 75 saw the ad on TV and in the newspaper. What is the probability that a randomly selected customer:
      1. saw the advertisement in the newspaper and on TV?
      2. saw the advertisement in the newspaper or on TV?
    P(A) = 160/300
    P(B) = 180/300
    a. P(A and B) =75/300??
    b. P(A or B) = P(A) +P(B) - P(AandB)

It doesn't sound correct. Please help

    P(A) = 160/300
    P(B) = 180/300
    a. P(A and B) =75/300?? Mr F says: Surely the writing in red confirms this answer ....!!
    b. P(A or B) = P(A) +P(B) - P(AandB) Mr F says: Yes, that is the correct formula to use.
