# Math Help - Histogram help please!

I am stuck on this question.. I need to draw a histogram but don't know how! I need urgent help please.. Here is the table:

Area (A cm²) Frequency

0 < A ? 10 38
10 < A ? 25 36
25 < A ? 40 30
40 < A ? 60 46

I don't know how to draw the histogram because on this small grid i am given (on this past paper), it isn't big enough to have each square represent 2, which i think is the highest common factor..

Can anyone help? With a rough histogram..?

Thanks

2. Hello, Danielisew!

I need to draw a histogram.

$\begin{array}{cc}\text{Area (cm}^2) & \text{Frequency}\\
0 < A < 10 & 38 \\
10 < A < 25 & 36 \\
25 < A < 40 & 30 \\
40 < A < 60 & 46\end{array}$

You could cut a "slice" out of the histogram.
Code:
        |
46 + *------*
| | |
| | |
38 *------* | |
| | | |
36 + *------* | |
| | | | |
| | | | |
30 + | *------* |
| | | | |
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
| | | | |
0 +------+------+------+------+
0 10 25 40 60`

This is common practice when all the data is,
. . for example, between 100 and 110.
