Types of variables
I'm not sure what kind of variables the following are:
d) Severity of injury, 1=fatal, 2=severe, 3=moderate, 4=minor
f) the sizes of children's shoes sold at David Jones
I'm stuck as to whether d) is categorical or quantitative. It's using numbers to represent something, but they represent names of categories. As for f), shoe sizes are done in numbers, but they also represent a category. Please help me! (Worried)
The numbers here are just used as a code to make analysis easier so categorical.
