a) If i were to have 4 at bats in a particular game , what is the probability that i had at least 1 hit?

b) If i were to have 300 at bats in one season, what is the probability that i had at least 120 hits ( giving me a .400 average, which is pretty good, for those of you that don't know)?

Ok, so i'm not that good with probability, but i think i know how to do the first question. we will use Bernoulli Trials

We will use P(k) to denote the probability of k successes. that is, P(0) means the probability of you getting no hits, P(1) is the probability of you getting 1 hit, etc

We want the probability of you getting AT LEAST one hit, which means you got one or more (up to four), so that means we want the probability of:
P(1) + P(2) + P(3) + P(4) (do you know why?)

but, we can make this simpler, it will be the probability of:

1 - P(0) (do you know why?)

so let's do it. see the attached image below.
