1. ## stratified sampling

hi, this is my question:

a factory has 70 employees.
A) Explain how you could obtain a random sample of 15 employees from this factory?

would this be alright to do:
35/70 X 15= 7.5 = 8 people
35/70 X 15= 7.5 = 8 people
8+8 =16 so then i would -1 away from one of them so it makes 15?

You are not providing enough information.

It appears you have two strata of size 35, so flip a coin if it comes up heads use a (8,7) sample and if tails a (7,8) sample.

Or if it is believed that one strata has a greater variance take a sample of size 8 from that strata and 7 from the other.
