    Question Confidence Intervals...

    To test a coin for fairness (equal likelihood of heads and tails a flip), a coin is flipped 100 times with the result that heads came up 56 times. What is the 95% confidence interval for such an experiment?

    most people would use a normal approximation

    \hat p\pm 1.96\sqrt{{\hat p\hat q\over n}}

    where n=100 and \hat p =.56
