    Error analysis on linear regression

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum.

    Here's my problem:

I've carried out a linear regression on Excel, and have calculated (with Excel commands) the slope (a) the intercept (b) and their errors (delta a and delta b).

What I need to find is the error for y (as in y=ax+b).

Any idea how I can do this?

You might want to check what r^2 (or is that R^2) signifies.
