Can someone please help me to do this question.


Mail-order marketing companies have a response rate of 15% to their advertising flyers.

A) Compute the probability that exactly 3 people out of a sample of 20 respond to the flyers they receive.


I have to design a simulation for the question. Compare the probability distribution resulting from the simulation with the theoretical distribution I am also using Microsoft excel to do this simulation.

The number of responses has a binomial distribution B(20,0.15). So now calculate the probability of exactly three responses b(3;20,0.15).

Find out how to generate random numbers uniformly distributed on [0,1] in Excel, then how to test if such a number <0.15 (which would indicate a response).
