Probability Problem
I am so lost on how to do this problem. It says "if the odds in favor of winning a game are 2:5, what is the probability of winning the game?" Part of me feels this could be easier than it seems and I am just over thinking it but i seriously have no idea where to start so if someone could help me ASAP I would greatly appreciate it!

2:5 is a ratio. It basically reads "two out of five". So, if your probability is 2:5, then for every five games, you would win about two times.
To get the precent chance, just take the first number and divide it by the second. So, in your case it would be 2/5 = 40% chance of winning.
