Meeting at Coffee Shop
Hi, can some one help me with this problem?

Two people A and B will be arriving at a small coffee shop at any time between 8am and 9am equally likely. Each of them will stay exactly 10 minutes in the bar. What is the probability that they will meet each other in the shop?

There are 60 min in an hour so 10 min of 1 hour is 10/60.

Can i say this then?

P(A) = person A's ratio (minutes stay : total possible minutes) = 10/60 = 1/6
P(B) = person B's ratio (minutes stay : total possible minutes) = 10/60 = 1/6
P(A and B) = probability that both of them are there = ?

...P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B)
...P(A and B) = (1/6)*(1/6)

...P(A and B) = 1/36
