ratio and proportion
The measurements of 2 rectangles are:

(a) length 24cm and width 18cm.

(b) length 48cm and width 14cm.

Find:

(1) The ratio of their areas.

(2) The ratio of their perimeters.

(1) $\frac{\text{Area of a}}{\text{Area of b}} = \frac{\text{length of a * width of a}}{\text{length of b * width of b}}$
(2) $\frac{\text{Perimeter of a}}{\text{Perimeter of b}} = \frac{2*(\text{length of a + width of a})}{2*(\text{length of b + width of b})} = \frac{\text{length of a + width of a}}{\text{length of b + width of b}}$
