working out an average mark help needed

Okay, got some exam results but cannot for life of me work out what average im on.

last year was worth 25% of the degree. I got an average of 63%

This year is worth the remaining 75%. the year is spread into 120 credits. so worked out each 1 credit is worth 0.625% of my degree.

I've got 50 credits back and got average of 68.6%

Basically now need to work out what average i've got for my degree so far. I think i've now got results back for 56.25% of my degree.

    Any help appreciated

    0.25 + 0.75 * (50/120) = 0.5625 -- Very good.

Does 68.6% apply to only those credits earned sp far in this marking period?

    Your average, so far.

    0.371875 / 0.5625 = 0.6611111...

    What could this mean?

    0.25 * 0.63 + 0.75 * (50/120) * 0.686 = 0.371875 - That's a little misleading, but it means this is now your MINIMUM total score. It assumes 0.00 on your last 70 marks.

If you are perfect on the last 70, you get this MAXIMUM total possible.

    0.25 * 0.63 + 0.75 * (50/120) * 0.686 + 0.75 * (70/120) * 1.000 = 0.809375
