    Sales forecast help (percentages)

How do I work out this sum please?

If a shop has sold 3000 units by the second day of the week how many should it sell by the end of the week? On average by the end of the second day of the week it has normally sold 23% of its weekly sales.

    Thank you so much.

Ok the queston tells you basically that 23% of the total sales is 3000 units. So by dividing by 23 we get that 1% of the total sales is (3000/23 =) 130.434... Multiplying by 100 shows that the total number of sales (100%) will be 13 043 (roundng to the nearest unit).
