Probability Question
Hi There,

I have a quick question about probabilities. Ive nutted the first 3 parts of the question, it's the last one that stumps me.

Like Dislike Total
Male 80 40 120
Female 320 160 480
Total 400 200 600

"Determine whether the events Liking the seasoning and being male, are independent or dependant. Explain carefully and show all calculations supporting your argument.

It seems pretty simple but being an extract from an old exam it shows that it was worth 6 marks, I'm not too sure how much detail it should go into, thanks!!

Pr(Like) = 400/600 = 2/3.

Pr(Male) = 120/600 = 1/5.

Pr(Like and Male) = 80/600 = 2/15.

Pr(Like)xPr(Male) = .....

Therefore .....
