    Sketching the graph of a function

    the equation is y=2/x for x greater and equal to 4 and less and equal to -4.



    draw a suitable straight line in the graph to find all the values of x which satisfy the equation 2/x=3/4x-2 for x greater and equal to 4 and less and equal to -4.

    just draw the line y=(3/4)x-2 , and see where it intersects the curve , y=2/x within the range given .
