There are 6 favourable outcomes (list them) and 6^3 possible outcomes. Therefore .... (so yes, you are correct).

By the way, the singular is die, the plural is dice (mouse is the singular, mice not mices is the plural).

Therefore: . $P(\text{same number}) \;=\;\frac{1}{6} \times \frac{1}{6} \;=\;\frac{1}{36}$
