There are 6 favourable outcomes (list them) and 6^3 possible outcomes. Therefore .... (so yes, you are correct).

By the way, the singular is die, the plural is dice (mouse is the singular, mice not mices is the plural).

3. Hello, helloying!

Another approach . . .

If three unbiased dice are thrown,
what is probabilty that all three dice give the same number?

The first die can be any number (it doesn't matter).

The probability that the second die matches the first is: .$\displaystyle \tfrac{1}{6}$

The probability that the third die matches the first two is: .$\displaystyle \tfrac{1}{6}$

Therefore: .$\displaystyle P(\text{same number}) \;=\;\frac{1}{6} \times \frac{1}{6} \;=\;\frac{1}{36}$
