    Hello, sri340!

    I assume that you are just starting Probability . . .

    1) A spinner is divided into 24 sections: 4 red, 6 blue, 14 yellow.
    If each section has equal area, what is the probability of spinning blue?
    There are 24 equally likely outcomes.
    . . Six of them are blue.

    Therefore: . P(\text{blue}) \:=\:\frac{6}{24} \:=\:\frac{1}{4}

    2. A pair of standard dice is tossed.
    What is the probability that the sum of the resulting values is not 4?
    There are: . 6^2 \:=\:36 equally likely outcomes.

    How many have a sum which is 4?
    . . Three of them: . (1,3),\:(2,2),\:(3,1)

    Hence, there are: . 36 - 3 \:=\:33 sums which are not 4.

    Therefore: . P(\text{not 4}) \;=\;\frac{33}{36} \:=\:\frac{11}{12}
