a music festival was oragianised to be held on a long weekend(three days) in april at rock bay. on average. on average it rains six days in april in rock bay.

- so far i have worked out the probability that it rains on a particliar day in aprill which is $\displaystyle \frac{1}{5}$.

- it than asks me to find the probabilty that there is no rain rain for three days?

so what is the pr(there is no rain for three days)?.

If $\displaystyle Pr = \frac{1}{5}$ then $\displaystyle Pr(Rain') = \frac{4}{5}$.

So draw a tree diagram for the three days (attached), follow the branches for no rain, and multiply the corresponding probabilities.
