Here is a simple example of what I am trying to achieve: Column A has 100 random numbers each between 90 - 110 followed by 100 random numbers each between 95 - 115. Column B has the number 0 for 100 cells, then the number 1 for the next 100 cells. A standard correlative coefficient returns a result of approx. 0.10. I'm unhappy with this kind of result, since 10% is a weak correlation, but in this case the relationship is extremely strong - a 1 point rise in column B virtually always raises column A by an average of 5 points. I would like a formula that returns the "strength" of the correlation, which in this example is approx. 100%. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
