Thread: standard deviation

hello i need to write up on the following calculations i made for standard deviation. the standard deviation is 10.44 and the mean weight is 51.47. how can i relate this together.

i have attached the table i created.

i need to describe what standard deviation is? and what it shows in my table.

i heard standard deviation is when u compare it with the mean but my mean value is so much bigger the standard devation value so i don't know how i can relate this.

please help.

68% of the data of any normally distributed data falls within one standard deviation from the mean. If the standard deviation is small it means the data is closely centered around the mean. If the data is scattered the deviation will be high.

It seems that all of your data is roughly within 2 standard deviations about the mean.
