lim [(3x^2 + 3x - 18) / (x - 2)] when x ---> 2

I've got [(3x +6)(x - 3)] / (x - 2) but not sure what to do from here.

Your factorisation of the numerator is wrong. You should have checked it by expanding. Fix it.

Then cancel the factor common to numerator and denominator. Then substitute x = 2.
