    Post express inverse function

    f(x)= √3-x. Find expression for f^-1(x).

My answer is x=√3-y, y≠ all real numbers ≥ 3

    Is that correct?

    Thanks

    is the function

    $\displaystyle f(x) = \sqrt{3} - x$

    or

    $\displaystyle f(x) = \sqrt{3-x}$

    ?

then you need to learn ... at least use parentheses as grouping symbols.

    inverse ...

    $\displaystyle y = \sqrt{3-x}$ , $\displaystyle x \le 3$

    $\displaystyle x = \sqrt{3-y}$

    $\displaystyle x^2 = 3-y$

    $\displaystyle y = 3 - x^2$ , $\displaystyle x \ge 0$
