I'm really bad with word problems:
Tickets for a homecoming dance cost $20 for a single person or$35 for a couple. Ticket sales for the dance totaled $2280. If 128 peple attended the dabce, how many single tickets were sold? And another: Describe the transformation to the parent function y=f(x): y=f( x-2 )+1. (What happens to the graph of y=f(x) to create the graph of y=f(x-2)+1?) Thanks! 2. let x = number of singles
y = number of couples

20x + 35y = 2280

x + 2y = 128

solve the system

And another:
Describe the transformation to the parent function y=f(x): y=f( x-2 )+1.
(What happens to the graph of y=f(x) to create the graph of y=f(x-2)+1?)

f(x-2) is f(x) translated to the right two units

f(x) + 1 is f(x) translated up one unit

put 'em together
