    Y= 1/F(x) Graph Question.

    I'm given the graph of y=f(x), and must draw Y=1/f(x).

    I seem to remember I'm supposed to do something with the points given, but can't remember what exactly.

    Halp?

    You only have to calculate the reciprocal of the y-values to get the Y-values.

    Example: Let y = \dfrac14 x^2 then Y = \dfrac4{x^2}

    Both graphs must intersect on the line y = 1 or Y = 1 respectively.

    I'm not given the equation of the line though, just a line called y=f(x).

    So estimate the values from the picture, and find the reciprocals. Plot the reciprocals, remembering that zeroes of the original graph will be vertical asymptotes of the reciprocal graph.
