    Combinatorial Analysis

A football tournament with 16 teams participating will be done in 2 full turns, or each team faces each other 2 times, in 2 games against the same opponent, it will, it will, in turn, the principal and the other the visitor. Determine how many games there in the championship.

Um... I think the exercise is asking for the number of games played, assuming that each of the sixteen teams plays each of the other teams twice.

It might be simpler to think about how many games would be played if each team plays each of the other teams once, and then double the result...? The exercise then reduces, I believe, to The Handshake Problem: how many games ("handshakes") will there be if each team ("person") plays ("shakes the hand of") every other team ("person")?
