Write teh equation of the line with x intercept $a$ and y intercept $b$

$a = -4$ $b = -4$

This line goes through (0,-4) and (-4,0), so its slope is:

m=(-4-0)/(0-(-4))=-1.

The equation is of the form:

y=-x+C,

and as y=-4 when x=0, C=-4, so:

y=-x-4
