    Limits

I have two problems that I need help with. In both problems it says to use numerical and graphical evidence to conjecture whether or not the limit at x=a exists. If not, describe what is happening as x=a graphically.

    1. the lim as x approches 2 of (x-2)/the absolute value of
    (x-2)

    2. the lim as x approches 1 of (x^2+1)/(x-1)

    For (1) you might want to consider values of x such as 3, 2.1, 2.01, 2.001 and 1, 1.9, 1.99, 1.999 ...
