Assume g is a one-to-one function. If g(x) = x2 + 4x with x -2, find g -1(96). Giving me hell, any help would be great. Thanks!

Let $\displaystyle g^{-1}(96) = x$ $\displaystyle \Rightarrow g(x) = 96$ so set $\displaystyle g(x) = 96$ and solve for $\displaystyle x$
Not sure with the "with x-2" thats whats throwing me off. Thanks for your reply!
