    Need help with an acceleration question

    A truck is moving at 35m/sec. How fast will the police have to accelerate to catch the truck in 1 min

    assuming that the police car starts from rest as soon as the truck passes it ...

    vt = \frac{1}{2}at^2

    where v = truck's constant speed

    t = time in seconds to catch the truck

    a = acceleration of the police car in m/s^2
