    [SOLVED] long division

    I keep getting funny answers for this one. So if someone can work this and show me what you did, I would appreciate it so much.

    Problem:

    Use long division to find the quotient and remainder when is divided by .

    The quotient is .
    The remainder is .

    Your answer might well involve fractions. As a mid-question double check on your work, here is the coefficient of in the quotient: -29 which is same as -174 / (6).

    but if anyone cares to know the answer it it:

    Q: -8(x^3)-16(x^2)-29x-(79/2)
    R: -639/2
