    [SOLVED] finding A in a quadratic function

    Problem:
    A quadratic function has its vertex at the point . The function passes through the point . When written in vertex form, the function is , where:

    In this form, (h,k) is the vertex so you can plug that in. Plug in your point on the graph for (x,y) and that leaves a to solve for.
