Some exam questions, mostly limits
Exam coming up soon, I will probably be sufficiently prepared in time, but I still don't know how to do most of these. I'm a little behind and am just starting on limits. I'd like to see how the problems in the attached .pdf file are solved. They're from last years exam, which we were given to study.

Thank you.

chave
Q1a (2x - 3)(x - 1)
----------------
(x - 2)(x + 1) doesnt exist

b probably multiply by conjugate t+1 then try subbing in 1
----
t+1

c 64 = 4^3 figure out the (4+h)^3 and see if you can cancel the h on the bottom

Q2 move e^x over to right sketch x=-1 x=0 and x=1 you will see its crosses the x axis at only one point hence one root.

the rest seem to be basic differentiation of a function and finding points

Sketching graphs and checking if functions are continuous just sketch each part out Q5 x^2 - 1 is a U shaped function one unit right on the origin but be careful only to sketch the portion where x < 0 as stated . do this for the others and check result.
