    Just wondering

Find the domain and range of the function: f(x) = x^2 + 11

I have the domain as (-,) and the range as (11,). did I get them right?

    Yes

The domain is (-,) because you can compute f(x) for every x real

    The range is (11,) because whatever x real f(x) \geq 11
For each ordinate y greater than 11 you can find at least one abscissa x for which f(x) = y
