Um...does anyone know how to sketch x = y^3 - 16y?

if you have a TI graphing calculator, go to parametric mode and graph

$\displaystyle X_{1T} = T^3 - 16T$

$\displaystyle Y_{1T} = T$

the following window settings give a good look at the graph ...

$\displaystyle T_{min} = -10$

$\displaystyle T_{max} = 10$

$\displaystyle T_{step} = 0.1$

$\displaystyle X_{min} = -30$

$\displaystyle X_{max} = 30$

$\displaystyle Y_{min} = -8$

$\displaystyle Y_{max} = 8$
