    Exclamation Tables and input

A rock is thrown upwards from a height of 200 feet with an initial velocity of 45 feet/second. The height of the rock above the ground t seconds after being released is given by h(t)=- 16^t^2+45^t+200 Make a table of values of h(t) and match the following:

The function f(x) =2^x^3-4^x+1 has the output value 12 for exactly one input value of x. Between which of the following pairs of numbers does this input value of x lie?

To find h(0.5) substitute t=0.5 into the expression for h(t) ie. h(0.5)=- 16^0.5^2+45^0.5+200.
Do the same with the other values.

The function f(x) =2^x^3-4^x+1 has the output value 12 for exactly one input value of x. Between which of the following pairs of numbers does this input value of x lie?
The easiest way to do this is probably to try each pair of numbers and see which one gives numbers on either side of 12.
