Hello hynseeker,

$\displaystyle y=\frac{2x+3}{x-1}$

Multiply both sides by (x - 1)

$\displaystyle y(x-1)=2x+3$

Distribute:

$\displaystyle xy-y=2x+3$

Put x terms together on the LHS:

$\displaystyle xy-2x=y+3$

Factor out x:

$\displaystyle x(y-2)=y+3$

Divide:

$\displaystyle x=\frac{y+3}{y-2}$ - Jan 14th 2009, 12:19 PMhymnseeker
Thank you that helps a lot :)
