    Question Proving exponential functions are identical

    Please help me prove these two exponential equations are the same.
    Thank you!

    a) y = 2(2^3x-2)
    b) y = 2^(3x-1)

    2 \cdot 2^{3x-2} = 2^{1 + (3x-2)} = 2^{3x-1}
