Thread: Simple theoretical Optimizations Question (Grade 11)

When you find the vertices of the polygon of constraints, how do you determine if it's a min or max or whatever? I completely forgot how and am studying for a mid-year exam.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You evaluate the given (linear) object function at each of the vertices. The largest value is the maximum and the smallest value is the minimum. It's that easy.
