    b. y axis
    c. the origin
    d. none of these

    4. given the parent function p(x)=spuare root of x, what transformation occurs in the graph of p(x)= (square root of x+2) - 5

All of this questions are common sense.

    Question#1
Read the definition of a perpendicular line
Read about the slope of a line
    Learn the point- slope formula

    Question #2
Graph it in you calculator and you will see if it symmetrical, if it is reflected across the x or y axis. Just look at the table of x and y values.

    Question #3
The graph of an odd function has rotational symmetry with respect to the origin.

    Question #4
Compare the graphs and you will see the difference between \sqrt{x} and \sqrt{x+2} -5
