How can i find the equation of a line, where the equation of a line parallel to it is given, but no points are given for the point...
The equation of the line parallel to the given line can be any equation of the form y = mx + c where m should be equal to the m you have in the given equation . Here m is the slope. In parallel lines m or the slope is same.
But if we are not given any point then how we can find the equation of the parallel line ?
The equation of a line is y = mx + c. You therefore need two pieces of information to get the value of m and c. You've been given information that lets you get the value of m. Without futher information nothing more can be done. The value of c cannot be calculated without further information.
