    Solve for x

    Hey guys.

    ((x+1)/(x-1))=2a

    Solve for x please I can't figure this one out.

    \frac{x+1}{x-1}=\frac{2a}{1}

    now, cross-multiply and solve. Show your work.

    Here we go...

    \frac{x+1}{x-1}=2a

    x+1=2a(x-1)

    x+1=2ax-2a

    x-2ax=-2a-1

    x(1-2a)=-2a-1

    x=\frac{-2a-1}{1-2a}
