I have the following instructions:
Suppose f is a continuous function defined for all real numbers which has a maximum value of 5 and a minimum value of -7. Which of the following must be true, might be true, and which can never be true?Why?

A.The max value of f(abs value x) is 7.
B.The min value of f(abs value x) is 0.
C.The max value of abs value f(x) is 7.
D.The min value of abs. value f(x) is 5.

the crux of the problem is this ...

given a graph of f(x), (1) what does f(|x|) do to the graph?

(2) what does |f(x)| do to the graph?
