Write An Equation
The volume of any spherical balloon can be found by using the formula V = (4/3) (pi)(r^3).

Write an equation for r in terms of V and pi.

Hello again,

$\displaystyle V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3$

Multiply both sides by 3

$\displaystyle 3V=4\pi r^3$

Divide by $\displaystyle 4 \pi$

$\displaystyle \frac{3V}{4 \pi}=r^3$

Take cube root of both sides and use symmetric property of equality

$\displaystyle r=\sqrt[3]{\frac{3V}{4 \pi}}$
